The Same But Different
Drawing on the iPad is a LOT of fun, but the photos I send back to my computer are not very high in resolution.
Luckily, I have techniques to deal with that, if I think the artwork merits being dragged through the birth canal, via my printer, into the physical world. It doesn’t start kicking and screaming until I stitch into it, glue it to a substrate, throw paint, inks, mediums, pencil crayons (and whatever other materials I lay my hands on) at it.
Then it becomes a whole other kind of animal. The two are related ~ the digital and the version on canvas ~ but they live in alternate realities.
The same, but different.
