Sister+Art=Bliss
Yes, my sister and I are still playing. Just being together is inspiring: we speak the same art language! Let me be more specific: we get excited about similar designs and color combinations, we echo each others enthusiasm, we laugh a lot as we paint, and collage. When one of us gets an idea, the other runs with it, and we keep batting ideas back and forth like a fast game of ping-pong. Exhilarating!
Our time together ends later today, when she flies home.
One thing we did that was rewarding, and required so little in terms of materials, was to paint our extra paint from different projects onto plain computer paper, then photograph it and play with it in Photoshop Elements. It’s amazing what you can do with a simple painting, or paint doodle, really! Take a look at some of the before and afters:

I think this will work even better on Masa paper, which has a shiny finish that will allow the paint to stay on top, showing even more marks. The greater number of marks you have, the richer your paper can look. Of course, you can always let your hand start doodling in Photoshop Elements (or the big guy, if you’ve mastered it) and enrich your art paper that way!
