Lack of Empirical Evidence

I have always been fascinated by psychic phenomena.

It simply makes sense to me that the hunches, intuitive flashes and insights that we all have (some more often than others) are due to making connections in ways that are beyond our ordinary senses.

Nothing should be taken too seriously, though, as Robin Williams gets off on reminding us. Even a psychic should have a sense of humour:

If it’s the Psychic Network, why do they need a phone number? ……………~ Robin Williams

Then there is this rather depressing insight by Leonard Cohen, who always calls it like he sees it:

The term clinical depression finds its way into too many conversations these days. One has a sense that a catastrophe has occurred in the psychic landscape.

Third

If the third eye is a figment of the imagination, it has been a longstanding one. I, for one, am more than willing to admit that I sometimes have a sense of knowing that is not based on any discernible empirical evidence.
