It’s Good To Be Square

It is my granddaughter’s birthday tomorow. She and her brother have brought so much joy into our lives. That sounds like a cliché, but there is nothing ordinary about either of them.

I am crocheting a little bag for her, made out of square motifs, that I hope she will like. You just never know ~ she has a very definite sense of what suits her and what doesn’t. I do not take it personally if she wants something different. In fact, I admire her gumption and belief in herself.  If she doesn’t take a shine to the purse, I will have to find another girl to offer it to.

The square appears a bit wonky. It requires being blocked, but I won’t do that until I have made all 10 blocks.
