Hit and Miss

There is something so whimsical about this sun-bleached traffic cone in the corner, flanked by little reflectors on metal sticks.

Perhaps it is stuck in the corner because it has faded so far past instant visibility that it is no longer noticed, let alone used. If it is used, well–the cracks on the cone show that a driver or two definitely missed seeing it, but didn’t miss hitting it.
