I’ve said before that I love to crochet. I’m making a little poncho type shawl (it won’t fall off your shoulders) and needed to block it. I saw the idea on someone’s blog  (wish I could remember where so I could thank them) to use interlocking foam tiles. Eureka! No expensive blocking board needed!

Now that I look at it, I see that I have pulled farther to the right than the left on my garment. We’ll see how that plays out in the wearing.

Block crochet

If you look really hard, you may notice a little piece of black plastic on the left blue granny square. That is the cover of the flash mount for my Nikon 1 V1 camera. It keeps falling off. I am rather annoyed by that, as it is a pretty wonderful little camera otherwise. When I returned to Henry’s and told them about my problem, they were quite indifferent. A shrug communicated that it wasn’t their problem.  The “cool” factor of this camera was a big selling point (for them), but a camera missing pieces loses a great deal of that, as far as I’m concerned. And why would Nikon put a cap on that area if it didn’t need it? I really don’t want the flash mount to get a bunch of dust on it.

So much for my little rant.
