A Delicate Instrument

Think of the delicate instruments in your life: your lungs, your little fingers, an earlobe ~ not to mention the that wisp of  hair behind it. So delicate, and yet indispensable, vital to your life and happiness. How is it that a blade of grass, a butterfly, seem so fragile and yet have an amazing amount of strength.

Let us hope this beautiful, delicate blue planet of ours has the same strength. Or did I misspeak? Perhaps it is not ours, and it is we who are too “delicate.” The planet will go on with or without us.
