    Tweaking More Than Photos

. This is the original pic of the graffiti I snapped on the side of a Canada Post box (one of the gray ones where mail is stored), and then added to Pilon the Graffiti. Graffiti I tweaked the photograph somewhat. I will also admit that today was a challenging day, and I am trying to tweak my emotions and attitude. My good husband was well aware of this, and took me out for a lovely supper. He did the tweaking for me. #CWWOL20111207 #mailbox #graffiti #attitude #tweak #emotion

    Building Blocks

. A traffic cone, some heavy cement covers for the street drainage system, a lone leaf, and graffiti on a corner mailbox were the building blocks for this image. Pilon the Graffiti I couldn’t help a little play on words. #buildingblocks #trafficcone #graffiti #cover #CWWOL20111205 #leaf

Seeing a Broken Heart as a Good Sign

I put together photos of a basketball net and some rather crude graffiti on a wall. You Broke It (1) Sometimes love hurts. But no matter how much it hurts, no matter how mad one “lover” gets at the other, who has spurned him or her, it is still better to have loved and lost, then never loved at all. Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote that line in the 1800’s and it is still true today. You Broke It (2) This is a good sign, having a broken heart. It means we have tried for something. …

    Not So Professional

    This section of graffiti may not be so accomplished, or professional looking as the others: Not So Professional That doesn’t mean you can’t turn it into great designs: It's Right There 1 It's Right There 2 #Dali #alley #CWWOL20110822b #professional #rightthere #CWWOL20110822a #pungent #compelling #Escher #graffiti #Gastown #CWWOL20110822c #smellyalley #homeless #Vancouver #trash

    Washing Away the Dust

Here are more graffiti examples, as begun in An Artful Surprise in a Smelly Alley. Gastown Graffiti 4 Here my sister shows the scale of the graffiti (this one echoes  Michelangelo’s painting in the Sistine Chapel) on the walls of this Gastown alley, and puts her finger out like God. Gastown Graffiti 5 (honoring Picasso) Gastown Graffiti 6 Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ……….~ Pablo Picasso Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in whi

An Artful Surprise in a Smelly Alley

An absolute delight (besides the fireworks I witnessed in Vancouver) was discovered in a smelly alley. The alley housed a large amount of pungent trash. However, it also held a treasure of amazing art. My sister and I entered the alley, with wide eyes and our cameras poised. We awakened a homeless woman sleeping there, whose mumbled “What the f*** are you doing in MY alley?”  did not deter us. It was a public alley and the walls were too compelling. Also, she stuck her head b

    My Sentiments Exactly

I took this pic of a wall in an alley in Hespeler–part of Cambridge, Ontario. Part of a wall in a part of an alley in a part of Cambridge. (This is starting to sound like a children’s story.) I wish I could have snapped the whole wall, but a parked vehicle blocked my view. (Can you see the small part of the vehicle in the bottom lefthand corner?) Creativity is . . . I am Me. In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me. Everything that comes out of me is authentical
