    Making the Journey From the Head to the Heart

Some subscribe to the view that every human is entitled to respect, simply because they are on the planet.  Each of us was born for a purpose, and we are collectively participating in this grand experiment for reasons any one of us cannot fathom. It is just too complex to work out. This makes sense to me. However, just because you get older doesn’t necessarily mean you get smarter, kinder, or more compassionate.     A Task Takes as Much Time As It Takes

    Doesn’t that title statement look obvious? And yet, how many times have you refused to accept it? Sometimes it seems as if we are wasting our time, because we want results quickly. Instead, we are pouring an inordinate number of hours into a task we somehow decided should take an hour at the most. The time frame we assigned for completion was completely arbitrary, and unrealistic, but we beat ourselves up anyway. A task takes as much time as it takes, which is the correct amo

    Understanding, acceptance, forgiveness ~ these are necessary for reconciling our differences. Hate is like acid thrown on our spirit. Even grudges leave their mark.
