    We Are Larger Than We Seem

    When we look at ourselves, our bodies have certain, limited dimensions. However, think about the words we use to describe our interior space. We talk about the depth of our sorrow, the expansiveness of our joy, the endless pit of despair. We describe our thoughts and feelings, often, as limitless, even though our bodies are quite limited in size and scope. That, I believe, is a reflection of our spiritual dimension.     My son sent a link to me yesterday, saying that a Ted Talk he listened to, given by Brené Brown, had affected him deeply. Opening to Vulnerability Feel It All I listened to it, and was struck, immediately, by three things: 1–You can’t pick and choose with emotions, numbing or burying  only the “bad” ones.
