Gates have great import. A gate signals coming into new territory, opening to another adventure, finding a different way. Often, the unfamiliar terrain is not accessible any other way. One must prove oneself, not only by figuring out how to unfasten the latch, but by paying the price of admission. At the Gate No one can persuade another to change.
