    Cinderella’s Cabbage Patch

. Cinderella had a premonition that her Fairy Godmother would soon be arriving. And how did she know? Because her cabbage patch began to dance, until the plot took on a magical configuration. Purple cabbages are usually content to simply sit with their leaves hugging their heads, but these cabbages were spreading their leaves wantonly. She knew something delightful was coming, and it was much more than the usual cabbage rolls. Cinderella's Cabbage Patch #wantonly #purple #mag

In All of Their Variations, These Enchanted Dolls Are Beautiful and Compelling

There is a certain genre of art and literature that beckons us away from the light and into the dark side. I am not talking about horror, which I lack the stomach for.  Rather, it is a style where the artist unflinchingly gazes into the deep labyrinth of the human soul and dares to represent the shadow side in their art. It is no accident that I use the word labyrinth, because Pan’s Labyrinth is a perfect example of the style I am struggling to characterize. j30bell states it
